The overnight viewership numbers are in for the premiere of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX as the show averaged 3.87 million viewers in the fast nationals. This number measures the top metered markets.
FOX touted that the show peaked at 4,217,000 viewers from 8:00 to 8:15 p.m. Eastern time. This segment was the start of the show and featured The Rock, Becky Lynch, and Baron Corbin.
SmackDown won the night in the key 18-49 demos and finished second to CBS overall.
It should be noted that the number was lower than most industry predictions of 4.0 million to 4.5 million.
