The ending to this month’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view did not sit well with the live audience in Sacramento nor the viewing audience on the WWE Network. Although WWE meant to convey the match ended due to referee stoppage, many fans took what happened at the end of the match to mean Rollins had been disqualified in a match where disqualifications were thought not to be possible.

Rollins commented on the end of the match recently on Twitter. He also noted that had the famous Hell in a Cell match between The Undertaker and Mick Foley been stopped early, it may have added years onto Foley’s shortened career.

Correction: it ended in a ref stoppage. When a body isn’t moving, the official has to make the right call.

Rollins then responded to a fan who posted a clip of Undertaker choke slamming Foley through the top of the cell.

I imagine Mick and Taker might have liked the ref to stop the match there. Might have added a few more years to Mick’s incredible career. Just a thought.

WWE announced recently that Rollins will work double duty at Crown Jewel on October 31st. The Universal champion is scheduled to be part of team Hogan as it takes on team Flair at the event. Rollins has also been scheduled to once again defend his Universal title against Bray Wyatt, this time in a falls count anywhere match.
