Fans already knew that WWE was bringing back WarGames for an upcoming NXT TakeOver special but the question remained which gender would get to compete in the structure.
WWE answered that question on Wednesday’s episode of NXT when a big brawl broke out involving several women including Tegan Nox, Dakota Kai, Rhea Ripley, Candice LeRae, Bianca Belair, Io Shirai, Marina Shafir, Jessamyn Duke, and NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler.
This led to NXT General Manager William Regal coming out and yelling WarGames, which made the match the official between the heels and babyfaces.
This will likely serve as the main event of this show as the match will be historic. There are nine stars in this contest, which is an uneven number as typically it’s 4-on-4 so it appears that another star will be added or one star will not be wrestling.
Although not confirmed, WWE did air a video package for Mia Yim on this show so she could be the final star added to the match.
The company presents the NXT TakeOver: WarGames 3 event on Saturday, November 23rd in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena.
