NXT Superstar Joaquin Wilde has been cleared to return to in-ring action. He revealed the news himself via social media in an Instagram story. In the story, he holds up a note that reads “Patient has been cleared for wrestling. Full contact is okay.”

Wilde underwent surgery last month due to a broken eye socket. The Superstar now has a steel plate in his face, thanks to the injury which occurred earlier this year in July. The incident took place during training. Doctors initially delayed signing off on surgery to see if the injury would heal on its own accord.

He originally connected with fans via Twitter, informing them of his successful surgery back in October:

“My eye is swollen shut but i just wanted to let yall know that surgery was a success and im officially on the road to recovery. I have a steel plate in my face now. Surgeon said 4 weeks til i can start doing stuff again. So ill be back at it real soon!”

Wilde, who has wrestled all around the world prior to signing with WWE, made his NXT debut during their NXT Breakout Tournament. He would be eliminated in the first round by Angel Garza. Formerly known in Impact Wrestling as DJZ, Wilde has held several titles including the Impact World Tag Team Championship and the X-Division Championship.
