It turns out that Cain Velasquez won’t be teaming up with Rey Mysterio in his second WWE match.
WWE originally advertised the two stars for a tag team match at WWE’s upcoming live event from Mexico City, Mexico. The duo was supposed to face Drew McIntyre & Andrade (w/ Zelina Vega) on Saturday, November 30th.
That has changed as Mysterio will now team with Humberto Carrillo against Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson. Velasquez is still advertised to appear but doesn’t have a match listed.
The news comes courtesy of the official WWE Espańol Twitter account, which released an updated lineup for the SuperShow on Wednesday. The WWE SuperShow from Mexico City takes place Arena Ciudad de Mexico.
The former UFC Heavyweight Champion no longer wrestling at the show could be due to him needing knee surgery. He lost his debut match under the WWE banner when he faced WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel.
