WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson has speculated why current SmackDown Superstar Cesaro hasn’t received a harder push in WWE. Anderson, who is a former WWE producer/agent, spoke about the subject on an episode of his podcast, ARN.

“He was probably outspoken. He probably stood up for himself, which is not taken lightly or very well,” Anderson stated.

He continued, “This is a guy that did a giant swing on Khali for God’s sake. If you didn’t see it, pull it up and find it … He had the wherewithal to giant swing Big Show for God’s sakes.”

Anderson noted how Cesaro was unable to commit to power spots during his time teaming with Sheamus in The Bar. He explained that this decision was made in order to assist Cesaro, as a heel, help to get babyfaces over in the ring.

Cesaro recently shared his disinterest in moving back to NXT. For him, he would rather succeed on RAW and SmackDown. He has also noted that, although he loved his time in The Bar, he would prefer to pursue a singles career at this time.

Cesaro said, “I’m really stubborn about trying to be successful as a singles wrestler, so that’s what I’m focusing on right now.”
