WWE has released its NXT injury report this week that has caught the attention of mainstream media outlets.
The media includes The New York Post, which has an article up. The injury that Mia Yim suffered happened on this week’s episode of WWE NXT in Winter Park, Florida.
She battled Io Shirai, who went over, in a ladder match. Because of this win, Team Baszler will have an advantage come the night of NXT TakeOver: WarGames III.
Yim suffered damage to her nose when she was holding a ladder to her face and Shirai launched a drop kick that forced the ladder smashing into her face and busted open her nose. She started to bleed as a result.
Moments later, she climbed the ladder only to have NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray tip the ladder over and sending her crashing through another ladder that was outside of the ring.
It was noted that Yim suffered a nasal fracture, which will be examined by a plastic surgeon Yim also suffered what were believed to be rib fractures.
Rhea Ripley, Mia Yim, Tegan Nox & Candice LeRae vs. Shayna Baszler, Bianca Belair, Io Shirai, and Kay Lee Ray will take place in the Women’s WarGames Match at this show on Saturday, November 23, 2019 in Rosemont, Illinois at the Allstate Arena.
