Another star has reportedly requested his release from WWE, which is Oney Lorcan.

Pwinsider.com reported on Saturday the WWE 205 Live star requested his release from WWE. As of this writing, his release hasn’t been granted yet.

Fightful reported that Lorcan requested his release from the company back in October. It is unknown how much time is left on his contract.

Lorcan, who signed with WWE in September 2015, has changed his name on his official Twitter account back to his old ring name, Biff Busick. Prior to signing with WWE, he worked for promotions like CZW, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, and Chaotic Wrestling.

He joins several stars who have asked for their releases such as Luke Harper, Mike Kanellis, and most recently Sin Cara. Those talents haven’t been granted their releases. WWE has granted some talent their releases such as Dustin Rhodes, Shawn Spears, and Hideo Itami.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE may be giving releases once again, at least to some talents.

It’s been reported in the past that WWE officials were not interested in releasing talents who ask because they thought those talents would go to other promotions such as AEW and NJPW where they would add value to those companies.

That has somewhat changed as the belief now is that if WWE doesn’t think certain stars won’t sign with AEW, or if they did, wouldn’t help AEW any, then they may let them out of their current deals.
