The storyline General Manager of NXT, William Regal, took to Twitter recently to reveal that he had open-heart surgery last year. Regal posted the following to Twitter yesterday:
1 year ago today I had open heart surgery to remove a calcified pericardium. Just wanted to get that out as I’m healthy and fit as a butchers dog now. Just wanted to get that out as I’m dedicated to my family and NXT. Please don’t reply, it’s just life.

Regal’s longtime rival Fit Finlay then joked about Regal being similar to the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz:

Regal also mentioned on Twitter recently that he was keeping an eye on the talent from NXT UK. He noted that he and NXT UK General Manager Johnny Saint met recently as well when Regal was in England.
“A great weekend at @NXTUK seeing GM @JohnnySaintWWE . I’m keeping close connections as the competitors are incredible and always on the ponce for @NXT . Good bye England. Now @WWENXT on USA on Wednesday. Lovely,” Regal Tweeted.
