CM Punk has been rumored for an in-ring return for a while now and his recent surprise appearance at WWE Backstage has only fuelled the speculation about him returning to wrestling in near future.
One of the possible destinations for his return is the upcoming Royal Rumble PPV. However, the former Champion himself is saying that he won’t be a part of the show.
Punk recently had a twitter exchange with rapper Wale while he was holding a Q&A session and the Straight Edge Star asked him if Wale is going to watch WWE Backstage tomorrow night.
The rapper responded positively to the question and he then went on to ask a question of his own, inquiring Punk about a possible appearance at the Royal Rumble PPV.
However, in response, the former WWE Champion said that he won’t be appearing at the PPV event while also mentioning how he is working for Fox Network and not WWE:
Nope. I’ll talk about it though. I work for Fox!

Though this is not the only interesting conversation CM Punk had on Twitter recently and his exchange with AEW president Tony Khan has also made some headlines.
Punk had tagged Khan in a tweet about catching up with the happenings of the wrestling world in the past few years and in response, Tony brought up the recent Saudi Arabia travel woes of WWE.
