WWE Backstage saw another big surge in viewership with CM Punk’s official return to WWE programming this week after debuting with a very low number.

The episode featuring CM Punk talking about the current state of WWE programming and possibilities of his in-ring return down the line among other things drew a total of 180,000 viewers, according to Showbuzz Daily.

This is an 80% increase from last week’s episode of the show which featured stars such as the current NXT Champion Adam Cole and Samoa Joe and had drawn 100,000 viewers.

5 episodes of WWE Backstage have been broadcasted so far with 2 special previews of the show drawing 597,000 and 426,000 viewers on October 15th and October 25th respectively.

However, the official premiere of the show which aired on FS1 at 11 pm ET on November 5 had done surprisingly poor numbers, bringing in only 49,000 viewers.

This week’s increased viewership for WWE Backstage is another good news for WWE after the episode of Raw also saw a small increase in audience compared to last week.

This week’s episode of Raw featuring matches such as Andrade vs. Seth Rollins, drew an average of 2.127 million viewers, up from last week’s 2.058 million viewers.
