Not only did Bobby Fish suffered a recent injury but also Candice LeRae, according to the latest WWE NXT Injury Report video with Matt Camp.
This weekly video shared updates on the two WWE NXT stars coming out of Wednesday’s episode of WWE NXT in Winter Park, Florida.
First up is LeRae, who was diagnosed with oral lacerations to her inner and outer lip. She battled Dakota Kai in a singles match on this show. The injury happened when she took a shot to the face from Kai, who was using Tegan Nox’s knee brace. However, she will be ready for in-ring action after a few days of rest and did not need stitches.
Up next is Fish, who is currently not medically cleared to compete, and is listed as “day to day” on the injured list.
Although there was speculation that Fish may have suffered a concussion, he was seen walking around backstage and seemed to be okay.
Fish and Kyle O’Reilly defended their NXT Tag Team Titles against Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic on this show. Fish was replaced by NXT North American Champion Roderick Strong in the match after Lee had tossed the champions out of the ring onto each other at ringside.
After the show came back from a break, the announcers noted NXT General Manager William Regal had ordered Strong to fill in for Fish, due to medical reasons.
