Kurt Angle competed in his farewell match at WrestleMania this year and he has since taken on a backstage role in WWE, working as a producer for the Raw brand.
The WWE Hall Of Famer recently had an interview with The Chicago Tribune where he talked about a number of things and also detailed his new position with the company.
Angle explained that he helps in structuring matches for talents and claimed that his role is just giving feedback to the wrestlers and evaluating their work:
“I help structure matches that the talents have. It’s just giving my feedback and evaluating what the wrestlers do, the most important thing is once you learn the basics, limit your bumping.
We only have so many bumps in our career. If you do it excessively at the beginning of your career, you’re going to cut your career short. If you save your body, it will help you enormously.”
Apart from this Kurt Angle also discussed his start in professional wrestling and recalled how a lot of amateur wrestlers had advised him not to step in the world of professional wrestling because they thought it was ‘degrading’
However, then WWE came out and explained that they were their own entity. They were entertainment and not wrestling and Angle saw it as a good opportunity to show others that you can cross over without it affecting your previous accomplishments.
