The last time we saw Dio Madden on WWE RAW, he was given an F5 by Brock Lesnar. As was revealed on WWE Backstage last night, Madden will not be returning to the RAW commentary team as he still has the desire to be a wrestler. Madden will be reporting to the WWE Performance Center to resume his wrestling training.

Samoa Joe will remain on the RAW commentary team as Madden’s replacement but only in a temporary role. Joe’s currently on the WWE inactive list with a broken thumb.

Based on his Twitter posts, Madden might want revenge on Brock Lesnar:

Matt Riddle moved on to Goldberg so I’ll retire Brock.

He’s got other things on his mind as well, however:

Holding the B button when trying to catch a Pokémon doesn’t increase your chances.

Below is a clip of Dio Madden wrestling for Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling promotion from Texas:

The last time Dio Madden worked at the RAW commentary booth, he protected Jerry Lawler and Vic Joseph from an attack by Brock Lesnar. Unfortunately, this resulted in Madden taking an F5 from Brock himself.

She might have raised a dummy. But not a punk.

In addition to his pro-wrestling career, Madden is a former football player. Although he never played an official game in the NFL, he was at one point signed by the Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New England Patriots.
