WWE Opposes CBS On Trademark, 'Marine' Reviews & Sci Fi In Oz

WWE have filed for two trademark oppositions, both involving The Game.

First, they are opposing CBS Studio Inc's trademark of "The Game". Any potential opposer had until Oct 19th to file an opposition, but WWE have "respectfully requested" a 90-day extension because they needed more time to investigate the trademark. They have been granted that. They now have until Jan 17th to file opposition.

The other opposition is with Edge Marketing Inc.'s trademark of "Game". Again, the deadline to oppose was Oct 26th, but WWE have again "respectfully requested" a 90-day extension so now they have until Jan 24th to file opposition.

An Australian version of the SciFi Network is slated to debut Down Under on 12/1, although there's no word yet as to whether it would air ECW.

Here is a site that has most of the reviews for 'The Marine'. Currently, it has 15 reviews, but it could grow within the next few days. Click here (http://www.mrqe.com/lookup?^Marine,+The+(2006) to check it out.

Also, they have 45 reviews of 'See No Evil' if anyone hasn't seen it yet and thinking about watching it on DVD. Click here (http://www.mrqe.com/lookup?^See+No+Evil+(2006) to check it out.

There will be a Cyber Sunday PPV "Press Conference" at the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio with WWE champion John Cena, Edge, Ric Flair, Randy Orton, WWE World champion King Booker, Queen Sharmell, ECW World champion The Big Show, and Jonathan Coachman are scheduled to appear.

This makes atleast three lawsuits over the same trademark. Maybe WWE should have just done the smart thing and trademarked "The game" 10 years ago when HHH first started using it.
