Toy Gun Doesn't Fool Bank Security Guard
A struggling Austrian toyshop owner was arrested after he tried to rob a bank using one of his toy guns.
The 44-year-old, from Vienna, stormed into a local bank with a stocking over his head, a gun in his hand, and demanded clerks empty their tills and hand him the money.
But a security guard noticed the 'weapon' was simply a plastic water pistol and asked him to hand over the toy to avoid "an even bigger embarrassment".
As the reason for his plan, the would-be robber told police: "I was driven to this desperate deed after my toy shop went bankrupt".
