It has been revealed that boxing icon Tyson Fury was backstage at the WrestleMania Backlash event this past weekend. The man who will be fighting Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia come August posted to social media to confirm that he and his son were in attendance for the event.
“Great times with my boy @princejohnjamesfury1” Tyson Fury wrote on Instagram. “His face when he meets Rey Mysterio, making dreams reality brother, thanks Rey.”
He thanked WWE boss Vince McMahon and Nick Khan for the chance to visit.
It is not confirmed at this time if Tyson Fury will be returning to WWE anytime soon. The lineal World Heavyweight Champion will now be preparing for the mega clash in August against Joshua.
Fury did perform for WWE in Saudi Arabia previously, facing Braun Strowman. With the Joshua fights likely to be two consecutive bouts, it’s unlikely that Fury will be available until at least 2022 before WWE can consider bringing him back in.
Fury’s son also posted some images to Instagram with Vince McMahon, Paul Heyman, Ric Flair and more.
