WWE‘s internal shakeups continue. Producer Sonjay Dutt is no longer with the company, as first reported by Fightful. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer adds that Dutt left on his own after asking to be released a couple weeks ago.
Dutt requested his release from Impact Wrestling in early 2019 and signed with WWE shortly after receiving it. The 39-year-old is a former X-Division Champion in TNA/Impact. Upon his retirement in 2019 was inducted into the CZW Hall of Fame as well.
Meltzer also reported that Canyon Ceman was also out as the Senior Vice President of Talent Development. However, WWE has denied Ceman’s release and Meltzer backtracked, calling it a “crazy story.”
Ceman has been with WWE since March of 2012. He is one of the most influential people behind the scenes, working closely with Superstars on their contracts and also scouting new talent for the company.
Prior to joining WWE, Canyon Ceman worked as an executive with the Association of Volleyball Professions after having playing pro volleyball for 14 years.
There have been numerous shakeups regarding WWE executives recently, however, including Mark Carrano’s release earlier this year.
