It has been a long hard road for Tyson Kidd. The former WWE tag team champion had his career ended in 2017. Lucky to be alive after a bad bump from a muscle buster on a RAW dark match against Samoa Joe. Even luckier it could be said to come out the other side being able to walk or move at all. The injury was very similar to that suffered by Christopher Reeve.

Tyson Kidd is aware of how lucky he is. Offered a full-time backstage role with WWE in 2017, Kidd has wasted no time in becoming a pivotal figure behind the scenes. He has been instrumental in pushing the women’s division. He has become s driving voice behind women’s wrestling and is the producer for most of their matches.

Many have credited him for the award-winning Wrestlemania 37 match between Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair.

There can be no escaping the fact that Tyson Kidd is a popular figure backstage. He has learned a lot about wrestling and himself as a result of his injury. This knowledge he is all too happy to pass on to the next generations.

It’s not surprising, therefore, that so many stars turned out to wish Tyson Kidd a happy 41st birthday yesterday. Including the Man herself, Becky Lynch, who proudly declared Kidd as being the “Best in the biz!”

Shanya Baszler also took time out to proclaim that Tyson Kidd was a genius.

If I could steal a sliver of @TJWilson wrestling brain, I will consider my wrestling career to be a success. A genius. #HappyBirthday

In recent interviews, he talked about how he feels prouder of what the WWE women’s roster is achieving than he ever did in his own career. It is a sad fact that there will be no Daniel Bryan or Edge style comeback for Tyson Kidd. However, he is relishing his new role and has a very promising future ahead of him.
