WWE has been cutting personnel from their backstage team for months, and a notable name has now parted ways with the promotion.

Not long after Vince McMahon's return to WWE, several names either resigned or were let go, including his daughter Stephanie McMahon.

Adam Hopkins, WWE's VP of Communications, stepped down in January, and Stefanie Fiondella, who served in the same role, would go soon after.

Veteran WWE writer and Creative department member Nick Manfredini is no longer with the company, Fightful Select has learned.

In their report, it is explained that Manfredini was a "fairly recent" departure, and it happened at some point this year.

Manfredini had been with WWE for over a decade after joining the promotion in the spring of 2010.

It was added that he was "heavily influential in the creation and creative of the Firefly Funhouse segments."

Fightful clarified that it is not currently known whether Manfredini left of his own volition or was let go by WWE.

The report notes that Manfredini "would often downplay credit on himself, but was often put over by Bray Wyatt himself to people backstage."

Manfredini won't be working with Wyatt anymore, whose immediate future with WWE remains a mystery.

It has been reported that a "physical issue" is keeping the former Universal Champion out of action, and has put his WrestleMania plans in doubt.

While Wyatt is expected to face Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 39, that match has not been made official, and Lashley has teased facing somebody else.
