WWE NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez could be back as soon as tonight's edition of WWE NXT after being out of action for a couple of weeks.

During the March 7, edition of NXT, Perez 'fainted' after a successful title defense against Meiko Satomura.

Perez was stretchered out by a medical team with Shawn Michaels and Booker T (her trainer) leaving with her.

It has been reported that Perez's fainting was just for the show but was done to cover up a real issue for the young Superstar.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed that Perez is cleared and reiterated previous reports that she was not injured.

"She is okay, cleared and will be worked back into storylines as soon as [possible.] Probably starting on tomorrow's show [tonight's edition of WWE NXT.] Somehow they're going to get her back in the mix. Whatever the issue was, they got a good thing.

A good report and she's [okay.] It's not an injury, but it was just a situation that could have kept her out. That's why they did the thing as kind of a backup thing and everything's cool. From what I was told today now they're going to start working her back in."

It remains unclear what exactly resulted in Roxanne Perez being pulled from the ring.

While Perez has not been stripped of the NXT Women's Championship, a new champion will be crowned at NXT Stand and Deliver.

A fatal four-way ladder match will determine the next NXT Women's Champion with Zoey Stark and Gigi Dolin already qualifying.

There is no word on how WWE will balance having two NXT Women's Champions, though a unification match is expected.
