Although WWE has mostly focused on signing college athletes instead of relying on independent wrestlers for their developmental brand, NXT, the company has made an effort to welcome wrestlers to its tryouts over the last several months.

In December, WWE brought in wrestlers such as Kylie Rae and KC Navarro, as well as Vincent and Dutch of The Righteous.

Vincent and Dutch, two former ROH stars, looked to be locks as talent signing with the company and were even rumored for Bray Wyatt's Wyatt 6 faction at one point. They were sitting in the crowd during an NXT TV event shortly after the tryout in Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center.

It’s been a few months since any word was spoken about the former ROH stars until now. While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted Vincent and Dutch did not put pen to paper on a WWE deal following their tryouts, as neither ended up signing with the company.

Meltzer said, “No.” He didn’t mention why they weren’t signed.

Vincent hasn’t worked a match since November 2022 for CMLL, while Dutch last wrestled in January 2023 in a Battle Royal on an independent show.
