The wrestling world is in shock with Cody Rhodes' disheartening loss against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39. Though there is no denying that the American Nightmare put his heart out in his incredible performance at the show.
The main event of WrestleMania 39 Night 2 saw the former AEW star challenging the Tribal Chief for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Almost everyone believed that this will be the end of Reigns' historic run at the top and Cody will finally finish the story.
WWE had different plans, however. As expected, there was a lot of interference in the match and people such as Solo Sikoa, The Usos, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn all made their presence felt during the bout. At the end of the day Roman managed to win the fight after Paul Heyman distracted the referee and Solo Sikoa attacked Rhodes.
Triple H explained this booking decision in the post-show press conference. He first praised Cody Rhodes and said that the story is not finished yet.
