The WWE will shake up its roster with the upcoming draft within a matter of weeks, it has been confirmed.
During the post-WrestleMania 39 edition of SmackDown, Triple H appeared and confirmed the draft, marking the event's return after not being used in 2022. Triple H added that this year's draft will "change the game" with every Superstar in WWE eligible to be drafted.
During this week's SmackDown, WWE didn't give a specific date but stressed that the draft will begin in two weeks' time.
It was added that the draft will conclude in two weeks from this coming Monday on Raw. Going by these dates, the 2023 draft will start on the April 28 episode of SmackDown and finish on the May 1, episode of Raw.
The date is notable considering that Night Two of the WWE draft will also serve as to go-home Raw before WWE Backlash in Puerto Rico.
This is similar to the 2021 draft, which concluded days before WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. At the time, it was said that the draft picks would only go into effect after the Premium Live Event, but WWE have not confirmed if this is the plan this year.
Triple H's comments that every Superstar is eligible has led to speculation that the draft could result in call-ups from WWE NXT. The 2021 draft saw Hit Row, Austin Theory, Aliyah, and Drake Maverick all called up from the gold brand.
