Kevin Owens has shown the people of Texas just how sorry he is over the things he said about the Lone Star state last year.

In the run-up to WrestleMania 38, Owens repeatedly insulted the state of Texas, which played host to WWE's two-night Showcase of the Immortals.

This barrage of insults culminated in Owens facing 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin at the event, in the Rattlesnake's first match since 2003.

Since his feud with Austin, Owens has turned face and is one of the most popular stars on WWE's main roster.

Yesterday, WWE made its way to El Paso for a live event, where Owens, Matt Riddle, and Cody Rhodes defeated Imperium in the main event.

After the match, Owens spoke about the "certain things" he said about Texas which some fans in the state may have taken issue with.

The Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion defended his insults, saying he was able to convince Austin to wrestle again, so fans should be thanking him.

Wanting to make things right, Owens put himself through a table that had been set up by the faces in the ring.

After Owens was helped back to his feet by his teammates, Cody Rhodes was able to convince KO to sign part of the table and gift it to a fan.

This finish certainly sent the fans home happy but it wasn't the only highlight of the show.

Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair defeated Asuka and Piper Niven to retain her title, while Shinsuke Nakamura bested the Miz.

Dominik Mysterio got a win for the Judgment Day by defeating LWO member Santos Escobar, albeit thanks to putting his feet on the ropes.

Bobby Lashley defeated U.S. Champion Austin Theory in their title match but by DQ when Theory used a chair.

Lashley would get the upper hand to send Theory packing, while Ricochet & Braun Strowman defeated the Viking Raiders.
