WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus has come clean as to why she attacked Becky Lynch during last week's Raw.
The April 10, episode of Raw was supposed to see Becky Lynch and Lita defend the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships against Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan.
After Lita was found attacked backstage, Stratus replaced Lita in the match and teamed with Lynch.
After the duo lost the tag titles, Stratus attacked Lynch, kicking off her first heel run in WWE since 2005.
On this week's Raw, Stratus cut a promo to explain her actions and said that she was the one who attacked Lita backstage.
Stratus explained that she needed to replace her fellow Hall of Famer in the title match to make it crystal clear that she was the one who screwed Lynch out of the tag gold.
The Canadian legend went on to say that, unlike Lita, she is "nobody's sidekick" and said that she is "not a nostalgia act," instead dubbing herself the "greatest of all time."
Trish said that she is "the single most important figure in the history of WWE. And I’m here to make sure none of you forget it.”

While the Stratus Vs. Lynch storyline is proving to be a hit with fans, the WWE Universe will have to wait for their match.
It has been reported that the match between the two won't happen until WWE Summerslam on August 5, at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan.
There is no word yet on what plans WWE has for Lita as part of this feud.
