WWE talent will now be able to stream again on Twitch, years after an edict was sent out by Vince McMahon in the fall of 2020 that came under criticism by many in the company.

The edict to eliminate numerous third-party deals and platforms for talent on the roster was made, leading to frustration among several wrestlers. This led to some of them considering the idea of working elsewhere where they could be allowed to do so.

It got to the point where some talent even confronted McMahon about it. Paige and Adam Cole were two of the more vocal wrestlers at the time about it publicly.

Last April, there was a meeting held with management and talent where the wrestlers were told they’d have the opportunity to expand their third-party platforms again.

The latest update came out today from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, which noted that WWE and Twitch reached an agreement to allow talent back on the streaming platform with almost no restrictions. However, the company will be getting a cut of it.

It’s a three-way split where revenue will be given to WWE, Twitch, and talent, with the talent getting the vast majority of it. The report added that there is ‘almost no restrictions' part of the deal is there so talent can’t stream with people from other promotions. Obviously, that would change if it’s cleared by management first.

Talent was said to be very happy after hearing about the company's and Twitch's agreement.
