Xavier Woods will show GUNTHER and Imperium what respect is all about when he challenges for the Intercontinental Championship this Friday.

On last week's SmackDown, Woods picked up a monumental victory over LA Knight and has earned a shot at the workhorse title.

In a backstage segment, GUNTHER branded Woods a "goof" and said that the 2021 King of the Ring winner does not know the meaning of respect.

GUNTHER confirmed that their match will happen and that he will "beat the respect" into the New Day star.

Now, Woods has fired back in a video on Twitter and said that for his 19-year career, he has shown respect to the wrestling industry, at the expense of his own body.

Getting more fired up with each word, Woods spoke about putting in the leg work to prove why professional wrestlers are the greatest entertainers around.

Addressing the upcoming title match, Woods vowed that GUNTHER will realize this Friday that he has the New Day's star "full and undivided attention."

Woods hopes to capture his first singles championship title in WWE, but that's not all that is on the card for this Friday's SmackDown.

The show will also see Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville challenge Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women’s Tag-Team Championships.

This will be the first title defense for the new champions, who captured the titles on the April 10, 2023, edition of Raw.

In more tag-team action, Braun Strowman and Ricochet will face the Viking Raiders.
