CM Punk was backstage at Monday's WWE Raw from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL. It was his first time at a WWE event since 2014.

Punk was there visiting, according to a report by PWInsider. It gets more interesting as several sources noted that Punk did briefly see Triple H, which would have been the first time that they’ve been face-to-face since Punk's dramatic walkout of the company the day after the 2014 Royal Rumble.

The former AEW World Heavyweight Champion also met with several wrestlers but was asked to leave. One source speculated that it could’ve been since he was under contract with AEW.

To top things off, the report states the decision to have Punk removed from the building was made by none other than Vince McMahon.

“We are told by the same source that it was a Vince McMahon call that he leave the venue and that when he was asked, Punk immediately said his goodbyes and left the building.”

One thing is for sure - Punk still knows how to get people talking.

CM Punk is expected to make his return to AEW on the June 17th premiere episode of AEW Collison.

AEW President Tony Khan and Warner Bros. Discovery wanted Punk back despite the drama that he was involved with, including the All Out post-event press conference where he bashed several wrestlers and then got into a backstage brawl with The Elite.
