A new match has been announced for the upcoming WWE Backlash premium live event as Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair will put her title on the line.
WWE previously confirmed that Rhea Ripley would be defending her SmackDown Women’s Championship against LWO’s Zelina Vega at the show. Now, the Raw side has been completed, as Belair will defend her title against IYO SKY at the event.
WWE confirmed the match on Monday evening. A few weeks ago, Bayley campaigned for a title shot, leading to a number one contender’s match being made. Dakota Kai and SKY weren’t pleased with it, so they wanted their own shot. Bayley had her chance but lost.
SKY won a triple threat match later in the evening on an episode of Raw. However, WWE never confirmed when it would take place until now.
