Braun Strowman will be kept out of the ring for the time being after suffering a concussion, according to multiple sources.
Strowman returned to WWE in September of last year, after being released in 2021 as part of 'budget cuts. During his hiatus from WWE, Strowman competed as part of the Control Your Narrative promotion, a company he co-founded with EC3.
After returning, Strowman feuded with Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER, but was unsuccessful in dethroning the Austrian. He has since formed a tag team with Ricochet.
PW Insider Elite reports that multiple sources in WWE have noted that Strowman is out of action after suffering a concussion.
The former WWE Universal Champion was scheduled to team with Ricochet at this weekend's WWE Live events, against the Viking Raiders. Instead of a tag team match, Ricochet defeated Ivar in singles competition.
Strowman last competed on the April 21, edition of SmackDown, where he teamed with Ricochet against the Raiders, so the injury must have occurred during that match. It was also noted that “there is no word yet how long he is expected out of action.”
Taking to Twitter, Braun thanked those who have reached out to show their support, adding that he is "doing much better." Braun apologized for missing this past weekend's WWE live events and said that he hates missing work.
While he didn't mention the concussion directly, Strowman said that he and WWE are taking every proper step to ensure he is 100% again.
