WWE fans are a few hours away from witnessing the company's 2023 draft on Friday Night Smackdown in Corpus Christi, Texas. The last draft occurred in 2021, so people look forward to seeing how WWE changes its roster. The company released a list of qualified talent for the draft, including a selection for NXT stars.
There have been rumors of who could be involved in the draft this year. PWInsider reported that an NXT tag team is expected to be at Friday Night Smackdown on April 28. There is also speculation if The Usos will be separated from the Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, as they are not listed together as the Bloodline faction. Fightful Select also shared that some WWE talent doesn't know where they are expected to go in the upcoming draft. This shouldn't be too surprising, as WWE has historically done this, but it is noteworthy because it's still happening in the company.
To add to the speculation of the 2023 WWE Draft, a former WWE Champion has been revealed to be in Texas ahead of the company event.
The Phenomenal AJ Styles is in town ahead of the 2023 WWE Draft, according to a report by PWInsider. Styles has been out of action since December 2022.
His most recent match took place at the December 29, 2022 WWE Live Holiday Tour event from the GIANT Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, USA. Styles, Karl Anderson & Mia Yim defeated The Judgment Day's Damian Priest, Finn Balor & Rhea Ripley in mixed tag team action.
WWE released a complete list of Superstars who are eligible for the Draft and Styles was listed as part of hte O.C. faction, along with Gallows, Anderson and Mia Yim.
WWE has a long track record of breaking up factions and tag teams in the Draft, so there's no guarantee the O.C. will remain in tact come next week.
