Dominik Mysterio had his first singles match at a WWE WrestleMania, and it was a notable one as he got to share the ring with his legendary father, Rey Mysterio.
At WrestleMania 39 in front of 80,000 fans in Los Angeles earlier this month, the son of the former WWE Champion battled his father after months of build-up.
For the first few years of his WWE tenure, Dominik worked alongside his father as a babyface where he was slowly built up before turning heel last fall and siding with The Judgment Day.
Dominik was on his way to victory before Bad Bunny got involved, assisting Rey in getting the win over his son.
While speaking with The Independent, Dominik recalled the experience.
It was a super crazy experience, being able to be a part of WrestleMania against my dad and him getting inducted into the Hall of Fame the night before. It was all just a surreal moment, how everything built up and the way it was leading up to the match. It was super fun and a blessing to be a part of it.
Many have praised the young WWE star for his work in the feud, but he has been critiquing every detail of not only the match, but the feud. He was happy with the bout and how it turned out.
He also pointed out there being tributes to the 97 Halloween Havoc match between Rey and Eddie Guerrero with the design of his attire for the match.
