WWE couple Carmella and Corey Graves are expecting to become parents soon.
Former SmackDown Women's Champion Carmella has been away from on-screen programming lately. This had the fans question her status. She was featured in programming before WrestleMania 39 when her team with Chelsea Green was disbanded without giving any reason. Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green have formed a tag team ever since.
Carmella stood next to her husband, Corey Graves, for the big WrestleMania 39 set reveal in SoFi Stadium, but she didn’t get in the ring for any action. It has been finally revealed why Carmella isn’t wrestling right now. It is because she is expecting a baby. She is due around November.
While speaking to Good Morning America, Carmella revealed that she is pregnant. This will be her first child. For Carmella, the past few weeks have been a whirlwind indeed.
“It’s just all been such a whirlwind. I think because of my past, it was hard to get excited off the bat about this one, but I was cautiously optimistic. I try to have a good mindset, a positive mindset this time around, and it’s working. So I’m very happy about that.”
“After the first [test], I’m like, ‘Oh, are we sure? Are we sure?’ … I mean, I took [additional tests] for weeks just to make sure they still said positive. So it’s really just been such a mind work to get my head around. But the fact that I’m here, I’m on the other side of it, I’m almost out of the first trimester at this point … it’s been quite a journey.”
Carmella and Corey Graves went through a terrible miscarriage last year, and she was quite open about that. The former SmackDown Women’s Champion was also praised for her candid story, as she was able to help so many others who went through the same thing.
