Phillip A. Thomas, the man who attempted to kidnap WWE Superstar Sonya Deville, will serve 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to four counts against him.

In August 2020, Thomas broke into Deville's home with various items that would be used in a kidnapping, while Deville was in the building. Thomas cut a hole in the patio screen and remained there for hours, watching and listening to Deville and Mandy Rose in the house. After Deville went to bed, Thomas attempted to abduct her, setting off the home invasion alarm.

Deville saw Thomas flee the home and called 911. When authorities found Thomas, he was carrying a knife, zip ties, and duct tape and admitted he intended to abduct Deville.

On TV, Deville's feud with Rose was quickly wrapped up, and Sonya lost a Loser Leaves WWE match at Summerslam. This hiatus allowed her time to recover from the ordeal and she would return as an on-screen authority figure later that year.

Thomas pled guilty to the four counts against him on April 17th, according to a report from PW Insider. Those four counts are Armed Burlgary of a Dwelling, Attempted Armed Kidnapping, Aggravated Stalking with a Weapon, and Criminal Mischief.

Thomas was sentenced to 15 years in prison, followed by 15 years of probation, in addition to 50 hours of community service. He was granted 975 days (approximately 2.6 years) served as a stipulated credit. Phillip Thomas has been recommended a curfew of 9 PM to 7 AM once released and is not allowed to contact or indirectly contact Deville. Thomas is also not allowed to contact or indirectly contact Deville's family either.

Thomas is also required to maintain full-time employment or submit five job applications per week until gainfully employed and obtain a psycho-sexual evaluation and complete any recommended treatment within 60 days of release from incarceration.
