WWE Smackdown Women's Champion Rhea Ripley came out with Dominik Mysterio. She pretty much got a babyface reaction with massive "Mami" chants.
They asked Zelina what it meant to her to have this match in Puerto Rico. She said she is so proud and happy to be back in Puerto Rico. She said that it was a dream to be back here. It's no secret she is the underdog here but she's excited to be here and representing every fan in WWE. She wants to get the title and bring it to Puerto Rico. She said it's amazing to be next to Rey Mysterio. The crowd chanted 619. Mysterio said that Zelina says she's the underdog, but he's been one his entire life and it got him to the WWE Hall of Fame.
Dominik began getting involved and argued with Rey. He said Ripley would walk out as champion. Rhea said Zelina won't be making history. She said Zelina is a slippery little fish who has been ducking her but she's going to beat her in her home town. She's going to remain the pathetic little girl that everyone can see. They faced off but Dominik pulled Zelina back.
The next segment saw Paul Levesque come out. He said they were back thanks to the fans. He joked the last time they were here in 2005, he won a title. He said he wanted to bring it back for the fans to bring that level of excitement. He introduced Cody Rhodes. He praised the crowd and talked about how important it is to be in Puerto Rico. He brought out a number of officials from Puerto Rico.
Paul Levesque announced the tournament format for the World Heavyweight Championship. There will be two triple threat matches on Raw with the winners facing off at the end of the night. The same will happen on Smackdown. The two finalists will face off at Night of Champions.
Bad Bunny was brought in and cut a promo to the crowd in Spanish. They loved him.
Damian Priest came out and said he didn't care they used to be friends. Bad Bunny disrespected him and his family. He is going to give Bad Bunny his punishment in San Juan. This isn't about just winning the match. Bunny insulted him. Priest shoved him down on his rear. Paul Levesque held them apart and they faced off for promotional photos. Bunny slapped Priest, who was held back by Levesque, screaming at him in Spanish. Bunny left through the crowd.
Levesque said they'd see everyone tonight at Smackdown and tomorrow for Backlash.
