The 12 man field for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament has been set.
Following this past week's WWE Draft, the company's CCO, Hall of Famer, Triple H announced that since Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns was drafted to SmackDown, a 12-man tournament would take place to determine a NEW WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The yet-to-be determined champion, who will be exclusive to the RAW brand, will be crowned after a series of matches, which begin on the 5/8 episode of Monday Night RAW.
Two triple threat matches will take place on the 5/7 edition of RAW, with the two winners facing off in a singles match to close the show. Another triple threat match will take place on the 5/12 episode of SmackDown, with those two winners also facing off in the main event of the evening.
The two winners of the one-night tournament, will compete against one another during the 'Night of Champions' premium live event on Saturday, May 27, to determine the NEW WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
