Carlito is pleased that his return to WWE has gone down well, especially if it means he can charge more for appearances outside the promotion.
The former United States, Intercontinental, and Tag Team Champion returned to WWE at last weekend's Backlash Premium Live Event in Puerto Rico. Carlito (decked in an LWO shirt) came to the aid of Bad Bunny and Rey Mysterio when the pair were being attacked by the Judgment Day during the San Juan Street Fight. Bad Bunny would go on to defeat Damian Priest in the match, the musical artist's first singles match for WWE.
Carlito earned a thunderous ovation in San Juan during his return at Backlash, and this may have a long-term effect for the former Superstar. On Twitter, the 44-year-old wrestler joked that it now looks like his booking price on the independent scene just went up.

All jokes aside, Carlito's return has been a hit with fans, with his comeback earning over 2 million views on YouTube already. WWE was reportedly very pleased with Carlito's return, with some in the company saying the response from the crowd was better than expected. It was also reported that many in the company are impressed with how much Carlito has matured since his first run with the promotion.
Fightful Select reports that Carlito's return at WWE Backlash as a one-off, but there is always time for that to change. The wrestler himself has said that he is "open to whatever" offers are made his way.
