Bray Wyatt’s WWE status continues to be a mystery after being off television for the past few months.
The former Universal Champion made his return to the company last October at Extreme Rules after weeks of video teasers. He has only worked one match that was televised, which was when he beat LA Knight in a Pitch Black match at the Royal Rumble in January.
He had been feuding with Bobby Lashley, coming out of that with the original idea for him to square off with the fellow top WWE star in a match at WrestleMania 39 this past April in LA. However, in late February, it was reported that Wyatt had been pulled from the road to an undisclosed “physical issue," later to be revealed as an illness.
The match ended up being scrapped, and Lashley didn’t even work a match at Mania. Instead, WWE booked him to win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal the night before on SmackDown.
Because Wyatt is off television, he wasn’t picked in this year’s Draft that recently took place, leaving him listed as a free agent, adding more questions about his status.
Bray Wyatt is not currently listed on WWE’s internal talent roster, according to PWInsider.
It’s also unclear when Wyatt will make his return to WWE television and if the plan is for him to remain on the SmackDown brand when he does or perhaps is moved to the Raw roster.
Wyatt's most recent match fro WWE took place on February 26, when he defeated LA Knight in a 'Lights Out Street Fight' at a live event from Rockford, IL.
