It seems like we would have to wait a little longer to see Seth Rollins live on Raw.
The reason behind his absence is that Rollins has landed a role in the highly anticipated Marvel film, "Captain America: New World Order." As a result, he will be missing next week’s Raw as well.
The news was revealed in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, where it was noted that Rollins was not present on this week's episode of Raw. Instead, a pre-taped interview segment featuring him was aired.
With the filming of "Captain America: New World Order" currently taking place in Atlanta, Rollins won't have to endure a lengthy flight to appear on Raw as well as on the set of the movie.
"Rollins was off Raw this week and next week, so they did a pretape segment, because he was filming the movie “Captain America: New World Order.” The movie is currently filming in Atlanta for a release next May."
This comes as Rollins is scheduled to compete in a monumental match against AJ Styles for the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions. The match will take place on Saturday, May 27 from the Jedda Super Dome in Jedda, Saudi Arabia. With his absence from Raw, it is likely that WWE will continue to utilize pre-taped segments to maintain his presence on the show and build anticipation for the upcoming event.
Recently, footage of Rollins from the set of Captain America: New World Order in costume surfaced on Twitter. There are no available details about Rollins’ role in the movie, but it is set to release in May 2024, so we will know before then.
Interestingly, this will be The Architect’s biggest non-WWE role. He has acted before in Sharknado: The 4th Awakens as AstroTech Lopez, and played himself in The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania.
