Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will make a rare appearance at an upcoming WWE live event later this year.
Ever since signing a lucrative new contract with WWE last year, appearances by the Head of the Table have become more infrequent on TV. Appearances at untelevised live events have virtually dried up for Reigns, with the SmackDown Superstar making a handful of untelevised appearances over the past year.
Roman Reigns is set to make a rare live event appearance (for real this time) at a WWE live event in Mexico City. On the company's official website, it was announced that Reigns will be part of the WWE Supershow on July 22. The announcement highlighted that this will be Reigns' first appearance in Mexico City since December 2019, and therefore his first time ever since emerging as the Tribal Chief.
Reigns won't be the only major star to appear this July in Mexico City's Arena CDMX. The Raw and SmackDown crossover show will also feature Rey Mysterio, Raquel Rodriguez, Cody Rhodes, Seth 'Freakin' Rollins, Becky Lynch, Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair, and Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. This news comes after WWE mistakenly advertised Reigns for a live event that will take place in North Carolina today.
In addition to Roman Reigns, another notable name being promoted for the WWE Supershow is Charlotte Flair. The former champion hasn't been seen on TV since WrestleMania 39, where she lost the SmackDown Women's Championship to Rhea Ripley. WWE stated as expected on their website that the card is subject to change.
