Bayley is a pivotal figure in WWE Women's Tag Team division, but acknowledges that the division is often an "extreme struggle."

After months of fans rallying behind the idea, WWE introduced Women's Tag Team Championships in early 2019, with Bayley and Sasha Banks being the inaugural champions. In the four years since then, there have been criticisms of the titles and the division. Some fans believe that the titles mean very little given that the division is typically comprised of singles Superstars with little experience together being thrown together as tag teams. The most recent champions, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, teamed just four times before becoming champions on the April 10, 2022, edition of Raw.

Due to an injury suffered by Morgan, the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships have been vacated, a year to the day since the titles were vacated last year due to the walkout of Sasha Banks and Naomi. Reacting to the news on Twitter, Bayley spoke about how the titles have often come with an "extreme struggle."

The new champions will be crowned on the May 29, episode of Raw, which will be the first show after WWE Night of Champions on May 27. Bayley will team with IYO SKY to take on Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler, Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green, and Rodriguez and a mystery partner. While there is no word on who WWE intends to team with Rodriguez, she did team with someone during the tapings for next week's SmackDown, which you can check out here.
