Roman Reigns will celebrate reaching 1,000 days as WWE Universal Champion on this Friday's SmackDown, but the Tribal Chief will likely be in a foul mood.
The Tribal Chief reached the milestone figure yesterday and his reign began back at WWE Payback on August 30, 2020. During his run, Reigns has retained against the likes of Brock Lesnar, Edge, John Cena, Rey Mysterio, Drew McIntyre, and others. The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion also holds the distinction of 'banishing' Daniel Bryan from WWE in April 2021

While Reigns will be celebrating 1,000 days on SmackDown (which will be his 1,006th day) the Head of the Table will no doubt be fuming over what transpired at WWE Night of Champions. In the main event, Reigns and Solo Sikoa challenged Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Reigns had chosen himself and Sikoa for the match, believing that The Usos were incapable of regaining the titles.
During the match, Jimmy and Jey Uso appeared but their efforts to aid the Bloodline backfired. When the two accidentally struck Sikoa, Reigns berated the pair until Jimmy snapped and took Reigns down with a superkick. After arguing with his brother, Jimmy cemented his decision with another superkick. This allowed Owens and Zayn to get the win, in Reigns' third loss since becoming Universal Champion (though he is yet to be pinned.)
What transpired between the Bloodline in Jeddah has not gone unnoticed by the rest of the family
