One WWE NXT Superstar will look to prove that they have a heart as big as their biceps when they appear on ABC's The Bachelorette.
The show, a spin-off to The Bachelor, has now been running for 19 seasons and sees a single bachelorette (often a former contestant from The Bachelor) seek a potential husband from a pool of male candidates. Each week, all but one contestant receives a rose from The Bachelorette, with the one who doesn't receive a rose being eliminated.
WWE NXT Superstar Kale Dixon will be stepping out of the ring and into the mansion for the upcoming season of The Bachelorette. Dixon has mostly been wrestling on NXT Level Up since joining WWE, and will be competing under his real name Caleb Balgarrd. Balgarrd already has a bio for the show, which references wrestling but stops short of mentioning NXT or WWE. It reads:
"Caleb B. might be a villain in the wrestling ring, but he couldn't be more of a softie in real life! The professional wrestler may seem tough, but he's a romantic guy who wears his heart on his sleeve. Caleb B. is extremely close with his family and is hoping to settle down and start a family of his own very soon. Caleb B. is the kind of guy who loves going above and beyond to make his partner feel special and one time even hand-carved a heart necklace out of seashells for his someone. Will Caleb B. get the fairy-tale ending that he's been hoping for with Charity? Only time will tell."
Balgarrd is the second wrestler to compete on the show, following IMPACT Wrestling alum Kenny King. The latest season of the show debuts on June 26.
