Braun Strowman has confirmed that he underwent the knife after being spotted in Birmingham, Alabama, on Thursday.
The WWE star was sidelined when he suffered a concussion in late April but wasn’t out of action for long as he returned to in-ring action on the May 1 episode of WWE Raw. Since then, he hasn’t wrestled.
On May 30, it was reported that Strowman was sidelined with an unspecified injury. Before that, he had been teaming up with Ricochet on SmackDown before being moved to Raw in the Draft.
In a post on Instagram, Strowman confirmed that he had fusion surgery on his C4/C5 vertebrae. The former WWE Universal Champion also thanked the company for caring for him in this scary situation. He stated he would heal up and be back. The post can be seen below:
“Road to recovery starts now!!!! Level one #fusion on my c4/c5 #vertebrae was in the great hands of #DrCordover at @andrews_sports_medicine was a great experience considering. Thank you to @wwe for always taking the up most care of us. This was very scary to find out about having to have done and they were there every step of the way reassuring that I was going to have the best care possible. This will take a little bit of time to heal from. But I assure you ( in the words of the #Terminator ) I’ll be back!!!! Thank you all in advance for the well wishes. Much Love, Adam Scherr.”
