View Full Version : Meet WWE’s Newest Class Of Performance Center Trainees

Nine young athletes have taken their first steps to become WWE Superstars as part of the Performance Center class of recruits for Spring 2023.

On WWE's YouTube channel, a video on the NXT stage at the Performance Center featured the recruits. They are:


Ezekiel Balogun
Vlad Pavelnko
Hunter Smallback
Coy Wanner
Andrezej Hughes-Murray
Kevin Robertson
Melanie Brzezinski
Tylynn Register
Alexis Gray

Ezekiel Balogun hails from Lagos, Nigeria, and is a basketball alum of the University of North Florida.

Vlad Pavelnko comes from a hammer-throwing background and competed in the 2021 U.S. Olympic trials, and the 2022 USA Track & Field Indoor championships.

Hunter Smallback comes to WWE after playing as a defensive end for Stetson University in DeLand, Florida.

Coy Warner is a University of Wisconsin alum and played for the Wisconsin Badgers.

Andrezej Hughes-Murray has signed with WWE after playing for Oregon State as an outside linebacker.

Kevin Robertson hails from Canada and comes to WWE with a background in cross-country athletics. He has a recorded personal record of 8:53.53 and took 12th place finish in the 3000 steeplechase at the Raleigh Relays in March.

Melanie Brzezinski initially attended the University of Tampa with an Academic Transfer scholarship from West Chester University. She attended a WWE tryout last year and said at the time that signing with the company was her top priority.

Tylynn Register attended WWE's tryouts in Nashville over Summerslam week last year. She was part of the Jackson State University Track and Field roster last year and competed in the hurdles.

Alexis Gray is a former track and field star who graduated from Texas Southern University in 2019. She signed with WWE earlier this year.
