After not attending shows for a few months, Vince McMahon made his presence known at the flagship show of the company, WWE Monday Night Raw.
It’s been a wild year for not just WWE but McMahon, who retired from WWE amidst a Board of Directors investigation into hush money payments made by him to women with whom he allegedly had affairs with last summer, leading to changes at the top of the corporate structure of the company.
These changes saw WWE appoint Nick Khan and Stephanie McMahon as the co-CEOs of the company while Triple H took over creative as Chief Content Officer. This regime stayed in place for months, increasing business and making fans mostly happy with creative.
Things changed at the start of the year once McMahon forced his way back into the company as he used his majority voting power to regain the Executive Chairman position on the Board of Directors in addition to bringing back former co-WWE Presidents Michelle Wilson and George Barrios with him.
Once that happened, Stephanie walked away from the company, while in late March, Vince signed a deal before WrestleMania 39 and made the announcement Endeavor would be acquiring WWE. The plan is for WWE to merge with the UFC to form a $21 billion dollar sports and entertainment company.
Pwinsider reported this afternoon that McMahon was backstage at Monday’s Raw in Hartfod, CT. No further details were given, although it’s not a huge shock considering it is so close to Titan Towers in Stamford, CT.
McMahon has reportedly been making changes remotely to the WWE product.
