Amanda Nunes, one of the baddest MMA fighters in the world, says she'd consider wrestling for WWE when her days in the Octagon are over.

Nunes is set defend the UFC Women's Bantamweight championship this weekend against Irene Aldana at UFC 289. The event takes place Saturday night live from Vancouver, British Columbia at the Rogers Arena.

Aldana is filling in for Julianna Peña, who was originally slated to fight Nunes again, but had to pull due to breaking several ribs during her training.

Nunes, the UFC's top-ranked women's pound-for-pound fighter, spoke with the New York Post to promote UFC 289 and said she'd wrestle for WWE if the money was right.

“It depends on the contract, you know? If the contract is amazing, why not? What I wanted to do in MMA, I did already — even more than I thought in my head when I went through my whole career. I became a double champion.

I wanted only one — I had two … I’m so happy, and whatever comes after I’m done with UFC, we’ll see. For sure, you guys will see me around anyways.”

Several UFC fighters cross over to pro wrestling, including Ronda Rousey, Shayna Bazsler and Cain Velasquez. We've seen even more MMA fighters flirt with the idea, including Conor McGregor, Daniel Cormier and Colby Covington.

Time will tell if Nunes follows suit. Even though she has accomplished her primary goals in MMA, she is still at the top of her game in the fight world. That said, you can't get punched in the face for a living forever and WWE has done very well throwing lucrative contracts at UFC fighters and mainstream celebrities to get them in the ring.
