Stars on Mars, the new reality show which includes Ronda Rousey, did very well during its premiere week.
The new series from FOX features a group of celebrities working together in a simulation of a space colony on the red planet. In addition to the reigning WWE Women's Tag Team Champion, the show features cyclist Lance Armstrong, Actress Ariel Winter, TV Personality Porsha Williams Guobadia, Figure skater Adam Rippon, Actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse, NFL veteran Marshawn Lynch, Actress Natasha Leggero, NFL veteran Richard Sherman, Actress Tallulah Willis, Singer Tinashe, and TV Personality Tom Schwartz. The show is hosted by Captain Kirk himself, William Shatner.
The first episode of Stars on Mars premiered this past Monday, and went head to head with the first hour of WWE Monday Night Raw. PW Insider reports that Stars on Mars garnered 1.323 million overnight viewers, and 0.24 in the coveted 18-49 demographic.
The description for next week's episode reads:
"Just as they were settling into life on the red planet, the remaining celebrities must figure out how to replenish their water supply."
Despite being trapped on the red planet of Mars, Ronda Rousey found her way back to Earth in time to appear on the red brand: Monday Night Raw. This week's show in Hartford, Connecticut saw Rousey and Baszler defeat Katana Chance and Kayden Carter. This was the first match for Rousey and Baszler since capturing the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships on last week's episode of Raw.
