WWE Hall of Famer Edge will be back this August, according to a local advertisement.
It has been over three years since Edge made his return to the ring following a nearly nine-year retirement due to neck issues. Since his return, Edge has had the 'Greatest Wrestling Match' with Randy Orton, won a Men's Royal Rumble match, and challenged for the Universal Championship. Edge's most recent match with WWE saw him re-enter Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania 39, where he defeated The Judgment Day's Finn Balor.
Edge is set to return to his hometown of Toronto this summer, according to an advertisement by the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. In a tweet, it was revealed that Edge will be part of the SmackDown taping on August 18, 2023.

The Scotiabank Arena won't just be working with WWE this summer, as the venue will also play host to the AEWxNJPW: Forbidden Door 2 event on June 25.
The last time Edge appeared in his native Toronto, he defeated Damian Priest on the August 22, 2022, episode of WWE Monday Night Raw. After the show went off the air, the Rated-R Superstar hinted that he could be retiring the next time WWE returned to Toronto.
WWE has not given any public comment about the possibility of Edge retiring, this time on his own terms. The Rated-R Superstar has not been announced for WWE Money in the Bank (which will take place in London, England, on July 5) or WWE Summerslam (August 5, in Detroit, Michigan.)
